Magnetic moment =22 number of unpaired electrons = 2, so oxidation state of Ti=+2.
So, chloride is TiCl2
l=01s, 2s and 3s for titanium 3×2=6 electrons and 1s, 2s and 3s for chlorine 3×2×2=12 (for two Cl atoms)and
l=23d for titanium 2×1=2. So total electrons =6+12+2=20
