The majority of charge carriers in a P-type semiconductor are holes.
Generally, P-type semiconductors are dopped with pentavalent atoms which have an extra hole after filling four electrons.
When this type of semiconductor is exposed to an electric field, the electrons move in the opposite direction of the field occupying the vacant holes, this creates a hole from where the electron has moved.
This technically results in holes moving in the direction of the electric field, making holes the majority of charge carriers.
Thus the majority of charge carriers in P-type semiconductors are holes.
