Let the marked price of A be Rs. x and that of B be Rs. y.
According to question,
x+y= 6000 .....(1)
Sales tax on A is 8%
Sales tax on A= $\frac{8}{100}\times x$
[ $\because$ no discount is mentioned, S.P=M.P ]
Sales tax on B is 10%
Sales tax on B = $\frac{10}{100}\times y$
Total tax collected by selling both the article is Rs. 552
So $\frac{8x}{100}+\frac{10}{100}y=552$
8x+ 10y= 55200 .....(2)
Solving (1) and (2)
$(x+y=6000)\times 8$
8x+10y=55200

8x+8y=48000
8x+10y=55200

y=3600

x+3600 =6000
x= 2400
