  • CFCs stands for Chlorofluorocarbons and found in refrigerants and aerosols.
  • CFCs basically contains Carbon C, Fluorine F and Chlorine Cl.
  • When CFC is added to the atmosphere, it starts damaging the Ozone layer by reacting with Ozone molecules.
  • As a result, damaging UV radiation infiltrates the Earth's atmosphere, causing a variety of health problems, acid rain, and a poisonous environment.
    This is the reason why it was recently banned under the Montreal Protocol.
