Solution

The compounds which give an alkali soluble compounds with benzenesulfonyl chloride are primary amines. The primary amines that can be formed from the given formula are
1) CH3CH2CH2CH2NH2,
2) CH3CH2NH2|CHCH3,
3) CH3C(CH3)2NH2,
4) CH3CH2NH2|CHCH3.
Since in structure (2), we have a stereocenter and so, we will have two enantiomeric product, thus a total of 5 compouds with the molecular formula C4H11N are possible which will give an alkali soluble compound with benzenesulfonyl chloride.
