The mean age of combined group of the men and women is 25years if the mean age of man is 26years and the woman is 21years . Find out percentage of man and woman in the group.

Let there be x women out of 100 persons.
⇒⇒ No. of men =100−x
Given that Mean of combined age of men and women =25

∴{26(100−x)+21x}/100 =25
⇒26(100−x)+21x=25×100
⇒2600−26x+21x=2500
⇒−5x=2500−2600
⇒−5x=−100
⇒x=(−100)/(−5)
or x=20

the women percentage is 20%
and the men percentage is (100-20)=80%
