Monthly expenditure =₹ 8500

Saving of the person =₹ 12000-₹ 8500=₹ 3500

(a) Ratio between salary and expenditure
$12000:8500=\frac{12000}{8500}=\frac{120}{85}=\frac{24}{17}=24:17$

(b) Ratio between expenditure and savings
$8500:3500=\frac{8500}{3500}=\frac{85}{35}=\frac{17}{7}=17:7$

(c) Ratio between savings and salary
$3500:12000=\frac{3500}{12000}=\frac{35}{120}=\frac{7}{24}=7:24$
