Solution

The correct option is A LiAlH4
The reagent used for converting ethanoic acid to ethanol is lithium aluminium hydride (LiAlH4). It is a reducing agent and reduces carboxylic acid to aldehydes and further to alcohols.

BH3 is used for the hydroboration oxidation of alkene. PCl3 converts carboxylic acids to acid chlorides and alcohols to alkyl halides.

Acidified potassium dichromate is an oxidizing agent which oxidizes alcohols to aldehydes and further to carboxylic acids.

Hence, option A is correct.
