Pb3O4 on reaction with HNO3 forms Pb(NO3)2 and PbO2. Pb3O4+4HNO3→Pb(NO3)2+2H2O+PbO2 2 moles of Pb(NO3)2 are from dilead(II) oxide while PbO2 is from lead(IV) oxide.
