For the next academic year, there is a proposal to increase the number of candidates appearing for these exams by 40%, 60% and 85% respectively. What will be the ratio of the number of candidates appearing for the entrance exams in the next academic year?

Let the number of candidates for the three entrance exams be 4k, 5k and 6k respectively.
After increasing, number of candidates become (140% of 4k), (160% of 5k) & (185% of 6k) →140×4k100,160×5k100 and 185×6k100 = 56k10, 80k10 and 111k10.
∴ The required new ratio = 56:80:111
