Solution

The correct option is A

520

Explanation for the correct option:

Find the required number of students

Let the number of students who has taken Mathematics =x

and the number of students who has taken Chemistry =y

According to question,

10100x=12100y=300.10x=0.12y=30

Solving forx and y we get,

0.10x=30

x=300.10x=300

and0.12y=30

y=300.12y=250

Total number of students taken at least one of these two subjects =300+25030

=520

Hence, option (A), 520 is the correct answer.
