We know that,
Total work done = Area under the close curve
Note: $1000$ litre= $1m^3$
Therefore, Total work done $=\frac{1}{2}\times BC\times AC$
$W=\frac{1}{2}\times (4-1)\times {10}^{-3}\times (4-2)$
$W=3\times {10}^{-3}J$.
