Since the door is not to be painted, we have to subtract the area of door from that of wall's area.

Area of the wall $= 8 m \times 8 m = 64 m^{2}$

Area of the door $= 3 m \times 2 m = 6 m^{2}$

Area to be painted $= 64 - 6 = 58 m^{2}$

cost = ₹ 5 per $m^{2}$

Cost of painting $= 58 \times 5 = ₹ 290$
