The perimeter of a rectangle is 130cm.

If the breadth of the rectangle is 30cm, find its length. Also, find the area of the rectangle.

Step 1. Calculate the length of the rectangle.

Let us consider that length and breadth of the rectangles are l and brespectively.

Perimeter=1302(l+b)=130l+b=65l+30=65b=30cml=65-30l=35cm

Thus, the length of the rectangle is 35cm.

Step 2. Calculate the area of the rectangle.

Area=l×b=35×30=1050cm2

Hence, the length is 35cm and the area of the rectangle is 1050cm2.
