Open in App
Solution
Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l+b) = 16cm => l + b = 8 cm
(a)Area is maximum when l=b
==> 2x2l =16
l=b= 4cm
Area = l x b = 4x4 = 16cm²
(b) Area is mimnum when l = 7 and b -1
==> l x b = 7 x 1 = 7cm²
