Finding the length of the rectangle:

Let the length of the rectangle be x units.

The breadth of the rectangle =5 units

The perimeter of a rectangle =40 units

The perimeter of the rectangle =2(length+breadth)

Putting the values, we get

40=2(x+5)40=2x+102x=40-102x=30x=15

Thus, the length of the rectangle is 15 units.
