The perimeter of a rectangular field is 280 m. If its length is 50 m more than the breadth. Find the length and breadth of the rectangle.
Let the breadth of the rectangle be x m
Then, length of the rectangle =x+50 m
Now, Perimeter of rectangle =280 m
⇒2(length+breadth)=280 [∵ Perimeter of rectangle =2(length+breadth)]
⇒2(x+x+50)=280
⇒x+x+50=140
⇒2x=90
⇒x=45
so, Breadth =45 m
and, Length =45+50=95 m
