The perimeter of a rectangular field is 280 m. If its length is 50 m more than the breadth. Find the length and breadth of the rectangle.

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x m

Then, length of the rectangle =x+50 m

Now, Perimeter of rectangle =280 m

2(length+breadth)=280 [ Perimeter of rectangle =2(length+breadth)]

2(x+x+50)=280

x+x+50=140

2x=90

x=45

so, Breadth =45 m

and, Length =45+50=95 m
