The perimeter of a triangular field is 90 m and the ratio of the sides is 3 : 5 : 7. Find the area of the field.
Given: Perimeter of the field = 90 m
Ratio of the sides = 3 : 5 : 7
Sum of ratios:- 3 + 5 + 7 = 15
∴ First side = 315×90 m=18 m
Second side = 515×90 m=30 m
Third side = 715×90 m=42 m
Now,
s=Perimeter2=90 m2=45 m
∴ Area = √s(s−a)(s−b)(s−c)
= √45(45−18)(45−30)(45−42)
= √45×27×15×3
= √15×3×9×3×15×3
= 135√3 m2
