We know, pH=log[H+]

Here, remaining concentration of hydrogen ion is calculated below :

HCl+NaOHNaCl+H2O
50×0.2 75×0.1

7.5 mL of NaOH reacts with 7.5 mL of HCl leaving behind 2.5 mL of HCl.

[H+]=2.5125=2×102

Therefore, pH=log[H+]=2log2=1.7
