The pH of soil A is 7.5 while that of soil B is 4.5. Which of the two soils, A or B, should be treated with powdered chalk to adjust its pH and why ?

Given :
Soil A with pH value= 7.5
Soil B with pH value= 4.5
Clearlyl Soil A is basic in nature and soil B is acidic in nature.
Thus, Soil B which is acidic in nature should be treated with chalk powder which is basic in nature to neutralize it and make it more fertile.
