Solution

The correct option is D 2, 4-D
Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), indole butyric acid (IBA) naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and 2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic (2, 4-D) are a type of plant growth regulators known as auxins.
While IAA and IBA have been isolated from plants, NAA and 2,4 - D are synthetic.
They are all used extensively in agricultural and horticultural practices.
2, 4-D is widely used as a weedicide/herbicide to kill dicotyledonous weeds. It does not affect mature monocotyledonous plants and is used to prepare weed-free lawns by gardeners.
IAA, IBA and NAA are used to initiate rooting in stem cuttings, promote flowering in pineapples, induce parthenocarpy in tomatoes etc.
