Equivalent resistance A and B RAB=88=8×88+8=4Ω
Thus it is a balanced wheat stone bridge satisfying the condition, 23=46
Hence no current flows through 10Ω resistor, and thus equivalent circuit is shown above.
Current through 6Ω resistor, I=V3+6=99=1 A
Thus power consumed by 6Ω resistor P=I2(6)=(34)2×6=3.375 W
