Solution

Dear student,

Let sons’s present age be x' years.

Then, father’s present age =5x

After 10 years, sons age =x+10 and father’s age =5x+10

According to the given condition,

5x+10=3(x+10)

5x+10=3x+30

5x3x=30−10

2x=20

=> x= 20/2 = 10

So sons present age=10

Now fathers age

5x=10=50
