Say the price of rice per Kg is $Rs.x$

Then for $Rs.270$ he could be $\frac{270}{x}$ Kg of rice

The price is reduced by $10$% and the new price is $Rs.\frac{9x}{10}$.

Then, now he can by $270/\left(9x/10\right)$ Kg of rice for $Rs.270$

Given,

$\frac{270}{\frac{9x}{10}}-\frac{270}{x}=5$

$\Rightarrow \frac{300}{x}-\frac{270}{x}=5$

$\Rightarrow x=6$

$\therefore$ Original price is $Rs.6$ and the reduced price is $Rs.5.4$
