Let the required ratio of diesel to petrol be $1 : x$
According to question , ( $70 \times 1 + 40 \times x$ ) $\frac{5}{4} =$ $75 \times$ ( $x + 1$ )
Solving we get $x = \frac{1}{2}$
So Ratio of diesel to petrol = $2 : 1$
