So, in case of certain event,

=No of favourable outcomesNo. of total possible outcomes=1


No. of favourable outcomes = No. of possible outcomes

In the case of choosing a ball from a bag of the red ball, the chosen ball will always be red. Thus the number of possible outcomes will always be equal to the number of favourable outcomes.
