The pyramid of energy in a terrestrial ecosystem is:
upright
A Pyramid of energy is always upright and can never be inverted in any ecosystem. As energy flows from one trophic level to the next trophic level, some energy is always lost as heat at each step. So, as we move up the trophic levels, energy goes on decreasing. So, the lowest level has the maximum value and highest trophic level has least energy value making the pyramid upright.
