Radius of the circular lid = 1.4 m
Area = πr²
= π × 1.4 m × 1.4 m = 6.16 sq m
Total number of sides to be painted = 2
So, total area to be painted = 6.16 × 2 sq m = 12.32 sq m
Cost of painting = Rs 20 per sq m
Total cost of painting = Rs 20 × 12.32 = Rs 246.4
Total number of lids = 100
Cost of painting both sides of 100 lids is 100 × 246.4
∴ Cost of painting both sides of 100 such lids is Rs 24,640.
