$⟹x:y=3:1⟹\frac{x}{y}=\frac{3}{1}⟹x=3y$

Perimeter of a rectangle is $36cm$

$⟹2(x+y)=36$

$⟹3y+y=18⟹y=\frac{18}{4}=4.5$

$⟹x=3y=3\times 4.5=13.5$

The length and breadth of a rectangle is $4.5cm,13.5cm$ respectively
