Resistance of platinum wire at hot bath RH=6.2Ω

Temperature at hot bath TH=?

We have,

RT=R0[1+α(TT0)]

R100=R0[1+α(T100T0)]

5.4=5[1+α(1000)]

5.451=100α

α=112500C1

Also,

RH=R0[1+α(THT0)]

That is,

6.2=5[1+11250(TH0)]

6.251=11250×TH

TH=3000C
