The salt obtained when rock salt reacts with conc. Sulphuric acid below 200°C is an acid salt.

  1. A chemical reaction occurs when Sodium chloride is mixed with Sulphuric acid, resulting in the formation of Hydrogen chloride and sodium hydrogen sulphate.
  2. In a reaction between strong acid and weak base occurs, the salt formed is called as acidic salt. e.g. Sodium hydrogen sulphate (NaHSO4)
