Solution

The correct option is A linear
When one s and one p orbital hybridise, two sp hybrid orbitals are formed. The two sp hybrid orbitals will be at maximum possible distance from each other, to minimise electronic repulsion. This is possible when they are at an angle of 180o from each other. Thus, the resulting shape of the molecule will be linear.
