Perimeter of the rectangle = 2l + 2b = 2 $\times$ 11 + 2 $\times$ 7 = 22 + 14 = 36 cm.

Since we need to find the side of a square of the same perimeter,

Perimeter of square = 36 cm
4 $\times$ side = 36 cm
=> Side = 36 $\div$ 4 = 9 cm
