The sides of a rectangle drawn on paper are in the ratio 5 : 6. When the rectangle is constructed in reality, it is 30 times the one drawn on paper.

If the length of the real rectangle is 720 cm, then find the perimeter of the rectangle which is on paper in cm.

The correct option is A 88

length : breadth = 6 : 5

Length = 6x and breadth = 5x

Real rectangle is 30 times the one on paper.

So, length of rectangle on paper
=72030=24 cm

6x=24

x=4

Breadth of the rectangle on paper
=5x=5×4=20 cm

Perimeter of the rectangle on paper
= 2( l + b )
= 2 (24 + 20)
= 2 x (44) = 88 cm
