In the interval 8 sec the velocity changes from $0\frac{m}{s}$ to = $20\frac{m}{s}$

Average acceleration

=$\frac{20}{8}\frac{m}{s^2}$
=2.5~\(\frac{m}{s^2}~\left ( \frac{\text{change in velocity}}{\text{time}} \right )\

Distance travelled,

S = ut+$\frac{1}{2}a{t}^2$
=0+$\frac{1}{2}\left(2.5\right)8^2$=80 m
