The state of rest and motion and relative terms. Explain with the help of an example.

A body is said to be either at rest or in motion when it does not change its position with respect to a reference stationary object.
Take for example, a person standing inside a moving bus. He is at rest with respect to another person standing inside the bus. However, because the bus is moving, he will be in motion with respect to a person standing outside the bus. Hence, we can say that the state of rest and motion are relative terms.
