  1. Islets of Langerhans are the endocrine part of the pancreas.
  2. It has four types of cells - Alpha cells, beta cells, delta cells, and PP cells.
  3. Alpha cells secrete glucagon hormone, beta cells secrete insulin hormone, delta cells secrete somatostatin hormone and PP cells secrete pancreatic polypeptide.

Hence, alpha cells of the pancreas secrete glucagon.
