The surface area of a sphere of radius 5 cm is 5 times the curved surface area of a cone of radius 4 cm. Find the volume of the cone.

Surface area of sphere=4πr2=4π×5×5=100πcm2
curved surface area of cone=πrlcm2=4πlcm2
100π=5(4πl)
l=5cm
Now l2=h2+r2
52=h2+42
h2=9
h=3
Volume of cone=13πr2h
=13×227×4×4×3
=35.27
=50.29cm3.
