(i) How many workers were on leave for atleast one day?

(ii) How many workers were on leave for more than 5 days?

In order to draw the line graph of the given data, we represent the number of days on leave on the x-axis and number of workers on the y-axis with the appropriate scale.

Here is the line graph representing the given data.


(i) There were 40 workers in all. The table shows that the frequency of workers who did not take any leave is 2.

Thus, there were 38 (= 40 − 2) workers who were on leave for at least one day.

(ii) The table shows that frequency of workers who were on leave for more than 5 days is 8 (= 0 + 5 + 2 + 1).

(iii) The table shows that frequency of workers on leave for 6 or 7 days are 0 and 5.

Thus, there were 5 (= 0 + 5) workers who were on leave for 6 or 7 days.
