Solution

Let the fixed charges of taxi be Rs x and the running charges be Rs y km/hr.

According to the given condition, we have 0
x+10y=75 .(i)
x+15y=110 .(ii)

Subtracting equation (ii) from equation (i), we get
5y=35y=7

Putting y=7 in equation (i), we get x=5

Total charges from travelling a distance of 25km
=x+25y
=Rs.(5+25×7)=Rs.180.
