Total capacity of the tank = 2477 litres.
Capacity of each tank = 95 litres.

To calculate number of tanks, we have to divide 2477 by 95.

Calculating 2477÷95 by box method, we get:


So, the final quotient is 26 and the remainder is 7.

∴ The equation can be written as:


Comparing this to the given equation, we find:
