The total surface area of a cube is 294 sq m. What is the volume of this cube?

Open in App
Solution

Total surface area of the cube = 6 × (side)2
294 = 6 × (side)2
2946=side2 (On dividing both the sides by 6)
49 = (side)2
(7)2 = (side)2
7 m = side
∴ Side of the cube is 7 m.
Now, volume of the cube = (side)3
= (7)3 m3
= 343 m3
