Solution

The correct option is A 980 m2

Curved surface area of a frustum cone = π(r + R)s ?

Total surface area of a frustum of cone = π(r + R)s + πr2 + πR2 1,200 m2

Smaller circle area = πr2 100 m2

Larger circle area = πR2 120 m2

Therefore,
SA = π(r + R)s + πr2 + πR2

1,200 = Curved surface area + 100 + 120

1,200100120= Curved surface area

Curved surface area of a frustum cone = 980 m2
