The correct option is A

3hrs 45min


Given that speed of car = 60% of speed of train
Now, we know that the speed is directly proportional to the distance since the time taken remains constant.
Let x be the distance covered by car.

The distance travelled and the amount of petrol consumed are directly proportional

AB= Constant

A1B1 = A2B2

Now, we can say,

Speed of carSpeed of train = Distance covered by carDistance covered by train

60100 = x20

x = 12 km
