Solution

The correct option is A Mono fibrillar
The eukaryotic flagellum is long rod like structure; its filament/axoneme has nine pairs of microtubules that surround the central two singlet microtubules and hence the name 9+2 structure not 2+9. It is characteristic feature of eukaryotic flagellum which makes option B incorrect. Option D is false as it does not exist in any living organism. The prokaryotic flagellum is a hair like helical appendage with three distinct parts: the filament, the hook (sheath), and the basal body. The filament is composed of flagellin protein subunit which are arranged in helical fashion; thus prokaryotic flagella as single fibril as compared to eukaryotic flagella with 9+2 fibrils. This make option C incorrect and option A correct.
