The vector which transmits malaria-causing protozoan is :
Anopheles mosquito
Malaria is transmitted through the bite of an infected female Anopheles mosquito. When an infected mosquito bites a normal person, the malarial parasite is released into that person's bloodstream. They travel to the liver, where they mature. After several days, the matured parasites enter the bloodstream and begin to infect the red blood cells. Within 48 to 72 hours, the parasites inside the RBC's begin to multiply, causing the infected cells to burst open.
