The volume of a room is 64 cu m, its breadth is 4 m and its height is 2m. Find the length of the room.

Let the length of the room be l m.
Breadth of the room = 4 m
Height of the room = 2 m
Volume of the room = length × breadth × height
or 64 = l × 4 × 2
or 64 = l × 8
or $\frac{64}{8}=l$ (On dividing both sides by 8)
or 8 m = l
∴ Length of the room is 8 m.
