Solution
The correct option is BBombyx mori Silk is obtained from the cocoons of silkworm Bombyx mori which feed on leaves of the mulberry plant. The life cycle of any insect is divided into four stages:- egg, larva, pupa, and imago (adult). When a silkworm larva has eaten enough, it constructs a cocoon made out of silk fibers, and inside that cocoon, it turns into a pupa. Cocoons are collected and kept under the sun, or boiled, or exposed to steam. This helps in separating out the silk fibers. The process by which silk thread is separated from the cocoon is called reeling the silk.
