Solution
The correct option is B 14 Let's say that one customer bought a total of x lb.
The other customer buys 2x lb.
The total amount purchased by them is, x + 2x = 3x lb
Hence, the customers purchase a total weight that is a multiple of 3.
Total weight of 5 bags = 68 lb
18 lb leaves no remainder when divided by 3.
68 leaves remainder 2 when divided by 3. Only 14 lb is another weight that leaves 2 as the remainder.
Also, 18 is completely divisible by 3.
Let's add the other values except 14 lb.
7 + 10 + 18 + 19 = 54 lb, which is divisible by 3.
The splits of weight for the first customer = 18 lb
The splits of weight for the second customer = 7 lb, 10 lb, and 19 lb
