Let the number of flowers be $=x$

Let the number of bees be $=y$

According to given

If one bee lands on each flower, one bee will be left means

$y-x=1$ ...........(1)

If two bees land on each flower, one flower will be left

$x-\frac{y}{2}=1$ ..........(2)

Add both equations:

$x-\frac{y}{2}=1$

$\Rightarrow \frac{y}{2}=2$

$\Rightarrow y=4$

Thus $x=4-1=3$

Number of bees $=4$ and the number of flowers $=3$.
